Ludhiana:: On Friday, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) implemented a substantial increase in toll tax rates, affecting commuters at the Ladowal toll plaza along the bustling Delhi-Amritsar National Highway. Ladowal Toll Plaza's Manager, Gaurav Kwatra, officially announced the introduction of these revised rates, which will remain in force until August 31 of the following year.

Kwatra emphasized that the toll rates have now surged by approximately 10%, aligning with NHAI's annual toll adjustments. Effective immediately, travelers will encounter the following revised toll rates for a one-way journey: Rs 165 for cars, Rs 285 for minivans, Rs 575 for buses and trucks, and Rs 925 for larger vehicles.

Importantly, the monthly pass rates remain unaffected by these changes, offering some respite for frequent travelers on this stretch of the highway.

This rate adjustment signifies the ongoing efforts by NHAI to manage infrastructure costs and maintain the quality of the national highway network, albeit at the expense of commuters who rely on this crucial transportation route. Travelers should plan their journeys accordingly to accommodate these revised toll tax rates when traversing the Delhi-Amritsar National Highway through the Ladowal toll plaza.
