Amritsar: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has inaugurated an important project for milk producers of Punjab. CM Bhagwant Mann has inaugurated a milk processing and butter plant at the Verka plant. CM Mann said that this will enable milk producers to get better profits. Built at a cost of Rs 105 crore, the plant has a milk processing capacity of 9 lakh litres per day and 10 metric tonnes of butter. He has announced a plan to increase the daily supply of 30,000 litres of milk to Delhi to two lakh litres.

CM Bhagwant Mann has described the plant as a revolutionary step and said that its aim is to increase the income of farmers to get them out of the farming crisis. CM Bhagwant Mann has told that the state government has signed an agreement with the Delhi government for this. He said that to increase the supply of milk, new booths will be set up in every corner of Delhi for the supply of Verka milk and milk products.

CM Mann has said that through this, the dairy farmers of Punjab will get better profits. In a statement issued by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), it has been said that CM Mann is trying to implement schemes to increase the interest of the youth in the dairy business so that they can be made financially self-reliant. CM Mann said that Verka products such as ghee, milk, butter, lassi, kheer, curd, ice cream, sweets and other products have already made their own place in the countrywide market, which is planned to be increased further.
