Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that he has received a booster shot using the country's one-dose Sputnik Light vaccine.

During a meeting with Denis Logunov, Deputy Director of the Gamaleya Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, which develops the Sputnik vaccines, Putin said he was feeling fine after the third shot. Putin received the first and second doses of the Sputnik V vaccine on March 23 and April 14, respectively.

Putin offered to participate in the testing of Russia's nasal vaccination against the new coronavirus during his meeting with Logunov. The Gamaleya institute is working on a drug to treat the Covid-19 infection, according to Logunov, who expects it to be registered by the end of 2022.
