Kanpur: On January 26 every year in Delhi, a grand parade would be held at Rajpath showcasing defence capabilities, diversity and rich cultural heritage. There are more than one beautiful tableaux that depict a story or a scene of history. The parade at Rajpath is not only the country but also the eyes of the whole world. Like every year, special preparations have been made this year also. However, this year's parade will be slightly different due to Covid-19.

The new Rafael fighter jet, which came to India, will participate in India's 72 Republic Day parade on January 26 for the first time. According to the Indian Air Force (IAF), the flypast will culminate with the flight of the Rafale aircraft in the parade to be held on Republic Day.  The tableau of Ladakh will be showcased after the Republic Day celebrations for the first time in the Union territory. The tableau will be made to familiarize the country and the world with monasteries and stupas besides communal harmony, crafts, art culture, festivals of Ladakh. Special preparations have been made for this.

The spirit of Darbhanga in Bihar will be the first female fighter pilot of the country to join the parade of Republic Day 2021. The spirit will be part of the tableau of the Indian Air Force which will show a mock-up of light combat aircraft, Sukhoi-30 fighter plane and light combat helicopter. The Bangladesh Armed Forces, which fought with their Indian counterparts 50 years ago, will also participate in the Republic Day parade. This is the third time in India's history that any foreign military team has been invited to participate in the Republic Day parade. Earlier, the contestants from France and UAE have taken part.
