New Delhi: Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday asked the government to insist on restoring the status quo in the backdrop of the Chinese troops agreeing to retreat amidst ongoing tension along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Why has not been given and why the government statement does not mention India's sovereignty over Galwan Valley.
He shared the statements of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Twitter, saying, 'National interest is paramount. It is the duty of the Government of India to protect it. Questioning Rahul Gandhi, he wrote, 'Why was there no emphasis on restoring the status quo of the former? Why was China allowed to justify the killing of 20 unarmed soldiers in our area? Why was our territorial sovereignty not mentioned over Galvan valley? '
Let us tell you that as a first sign of the deadlock, the Chinese army started its limited withdrawal from some parts in eastern Ladakh on Monday. A day earlier, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed the phone for a long time, agreeing to complete the process of swift withdrawal of troops from the border.
National interest is paramount. GOI's duty is to protect it.

Then,
1. Why has Status Quo Ante not been insisted on?
2. Why is China allowed to justify the murder of 20 unarmed jawans in our territory?
3. Why is there no mention of the territorial sovereignty of Galwan valley? pic.twitter.com/tlxhl6IG5B
