New Delhi: Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has met the migrant workers. The Congress Lok Sabha MP met the workers on Saturday near the Sukhdev Vihar flyover in Delhi. Rahul Gandhi sat on the pavement and talked to the workers and knew their problems. He has asked the Indian Youth Congress and Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee to make arrangements for safe return of migrant workers trapped in Delhi.

On Rahul Gandhi's meeting with the workers, Congress tweeted that only the leaders who take care of people can understand their pain. The Congress also shared a photo of the former national president of the party meeting the workers. Devendra, a migrant laborer, told the media that Rahul Gandhi had come to meet us some time ago. They booked a car for us to go home and said that they will take us home. They also gave us food, water and masks.

Delhi Congress leader Anil Chaudhary said that we came to know that the workers are being detained. Rahul Gandhi came here and he met the laborers. Anil Chaudhary said that we talked to the police and they agreed that they will allow two people to go together. Our workers are taking the workers home.
