Patna: The first phase of the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections are being held today. Congress MP and former President Rahul Gandhi is engaged in campaigning. Today Rahul has two rallies in the state, in which the first rally is being held in West Champaran. During his address, he targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, 'When Prime Minister Narendra Modi came here last time he promised that a sugar factory will be set up here and he will have tea with you all. Do you remember? Did he have tea with you? '

Further, Rahul Gandhi said on the issue of employment, 'DNoteban and lockdown followed similar trends. PM Modi announced both at the last moment. Middle class and lower-middle-class people suffered the most, while the industrialists were cushioned. People of Bihar get employment in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Bangalore but not in Bihar. The reason for this is the lack of Nitish Kumar and Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Modi talks about other countries but does not talk about problems like unemployment in his country.' He also said, 'The Prime Minister did not make any arrangement for the labourers. The workers were driven away on foot. I met the workers, they said that if we had given us some time, we would have gone home.'

In his further address, Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP of lying. He said, 'They lie. Earlier it was said to provide 2 crore jobs. Now if the Prime Minister came here and talked about giving two crore jobs, then perhaps the crowd will drive him away. We know to give employment. We know all kinds of development but there is a shortage in us. I accept that we do not know to lie, we have no match with them in this matter.'
