As we all know, the Krishna water dispute between Telangana nadu and Andhra Pradesh has been postponed due to floods and rainfall. Brijesh Kumar Tribunal, which is examining the krishna water disputes between Telangana state and Andhra Pradesh, will resume the trial for three days from November 25. The tribunal, which has been inactive for some time due to the Covid 19 epidemic, has informed the two Telugu states about scheduled hearing. The tribunal, which extended the tenure, is expected to take up the allocation of projects on the Krishna River and also consider allocation routes when the water available in the river basin is low.
Now Brijesh Kumar Tribunal is ready to hear the water dispute. The Central Water Commission (CWC) has ordered the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) to send all the disputed issues between telugu states to the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal. Problems arise like taking unused water from one year to another as Telangana wants and demand that only 20 per cent of the 17 TMC black water used for drinking water needs in Hyderabad city should be considered. Discussion.
Telangana state demanded that 50 TMC water allocated for the year 2019-20 could not be used and the water volume should be allowed to be used in the year 2020-21. However, the Bachavat Tribunal's order allowing such a carry-over system when the AP was a low-reparian state in the past, does not apply to Telangana, which became a separate state in 2014.
