Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been called a "21st-century king" by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who claims that the Congress would give pro-people government to the people of Uttarakhand.

He also stated that his party will never close its doors to the general public. During a rally, Rahul Gandhi said that Prime Minister Modi is a 21st-century ruler who considers talking to agitating farmers beneath his dignity. He went on to say that while India now has a prime minister, it does have a king who feels that all of his decisions are correct and that everyone else should remain silent when he makes a decision.

"By that measure, Modi isn't a prime minister... "He is a king of the twenty-first century," Gandhi continued. He went on to say that despite the fact that there was a COVID-19 epidemic, Modi left the angry farmers on the roads for nearly a year.

Gandhi had stated that two Indias are being created. He went on to say that one India was for the poor and the other for the rich. He also asserted that the concept of kings was reintroduced into the country. According to Gandhi, the PM mainly cared about "his rich industrial friends."
