New Delhi: After the Enforcement Directorate (ED) interrogation of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, the Congress is continuously protesting across the country. Its widespread effect is being seen in other parts of the country including Delhi. Police resorted to water cannons to disperse Punjab Congress workers who were protesting for questioning. At the same time, in Telangana too, party workers protested by burning tires on the middle road.

Let us tell you that yesterday there was a fierce struggle between the Delhi Police and Congress leaders and workers at the headquarters of the Congress party. Congress has accused Delhi Police of attacking. Along with this, it has been said that many senior MPs of the party have also been injured in this action. Complaints have been made in this regard from the Speaker of Lok Sabha to the Chairman of Rajya Sabha. Today first a delegation led by Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and complained to Delhi Police. After this, Congress leaders also met Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu.

Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram said that, 'We recently met the Speaker of the Upper House and have given a written complaint on the manner in which the police have acted for the last 3 days. Congress leaders said that the police beat up the MPs of both the houses, took them far to the border of Haryana. Chidambaram said that the police detained the MPs for 8-12 hours without any written order. They were denied food and water and when the MPs asked if they had been arrested, the police did not respond. This is clearly a violation of liberty. Every fundamental right has been violated.
