New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has attacked the Modi government due to the increased prices of petrol diesel. Congress MP from Wayanad Lok Sabha seat of Kerala, Rahul Gandhi, tweeted from his official Twitter handle, wrote, "there has been 'development' of petrol and diesel prices. Modi government is robbing people by charging heavy tax on fuel. This is why the government is not ready to implement GST on petrol-diesel.'

It is noteworthy that from the beginning, Congress has been demanding to bring petrol and diesel under the purview of GST, but the government has refused to do so. The oil companies have increased the prices of petrol diesel today. After this, the price of petrol has increased to Rs 84.20 per litre in New Delhi, which is the highest level till date.

The price of petrol has increased by 23 paise per litre and the price of diesel by 26 paise per litre. In the country's financial capital, petrol is Rs 90.83 per litre and diesel is Rs 81.07 per litre. This is the highest ever price of petrol in Delhi, while diesel in Mumbai is at a record high.
