Bangalore: There is an atmosphere of celebration in the Congress after BJP leader and CM Basavaraj Bommai accepted defeat in the Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023. Veteran party leader and former CM Siddaramaiah gave the credit of this victory to Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. Along with this, he made a big claim about Rahul Gandhi and said that Rahul Gandhi will become the Prime Minister of the country in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Siddaramaiah said that the success of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra is the result that today the Congress is making a comeback in the state with a huge margin. He said that BJP's money power was defeated in front of Rahul Gandhi. Speaking to the media, senior Karnataka Congress leader Siddaramaiah said, 'This is a mandate against Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and JP Nadda.' PM Modi came to Karnataka 20 times. No Prime Minister has campaigned like this in the past, but it is the result of the hard work of every Congressman including Rahul Gandhi and Kharge that their ploy did not succeed.

Overwhelmed by the victory in Karnataka, Siddaramaiah tweeted, "It is a victory for a secular party!! The people of Karnataka wanted a stable government that would deliver as promised, and have given the mandate to the Congress!!' Talking about the outcome of the Karnataka results, he said that this is an important step for the Lok Sabha elections. Siddaramaiah said that, "I hope that all non-BJP parties will come together and see that BJP is defeated and I also hope that Rahul Gandhi can become the Prime Minister of the country."
