CHAMARAJA NAGAR: Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, resumed the Karnataka leg of the Bharat Jodo Yatra on Friday from Gundlupet town in the Chamarajanagar district after touring Kerala.

Launching a stinging attack on the ruling BJP, Rahul Gandhi said that the tricolour has no significance without the Constitution during the convention prior to the start of the Padayatra.

The Congress has embarked on this padyatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, he added, to combat the ideologies of the BJP and RSS and put an end to the hatred and bloodshed plaguing the nation.

"To defend the constitution, it is being done. Any form of violence or hatred has no place there. Without asking about a person's religion, caste, or language, if they fall, they will be picked up," Rahul Gandhi said.  "This is our country, Hindustan ka Bhaichara (country of brotherhood). There is no stopping this protest. The strength of this nation lies in the fact that no force can halt the padayatra "He said.

The folks meet up with us during the yatra, which begins in the morning and lasts until dusk, and they vent to us about their issues. They discuss the economy, crimes against farmers, and PSU privatisation. He proclaimed, "Poora Hindustan, apna dard batata hai" (the entire nation is pouring forth woes).

The intention of the yatra is not to give lengthy speeches, he said.  The possibility to converse presents itself. It is questioned why this yatra is being organised. There are many institutions under democracy, including the media and the legislature. Gandhi, however, said that the opposition party has no access to any roadways.

When they rise to speak in Parliament, their microphones are muted, and anyone who tries to express disapproval risks being imprisoned. He asserted that the only option left is to embark on a yatra. There is no stopping this yatra. He emphasised that the voice of Hindustan cannot be silenced.

He thanked the party workers for showing up in such huge numbers and invited them to accompany him on the yatra. You will learn about corruption, unemployment, and inflation in Karnataka when you walk with me, he promised.
