The present Union Government of India has extended the tenure of the Railway Board President and an IAS officer for one year. At the same time, another IAS officer has been given the additional charge of Secretary (Security) and Chairman of the National Authority Chemical Weapons Agreement.

According to the information received in this case, Railway Board President Vinod Kumar Yadav has been reappointed to the same post for the next year. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has decided to reappoint him from January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020.
