New Delhi: Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has said on Friday that the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat, will create an "economic environment" of one lakh crore rupees in the coming time. Let us tell you that this huge statue of Sardar Patel was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on 31 October 2018. Goyal told the press that, "I see that the Statue of Unity will create at least one lakh crore rupees economic environment in the coming years."

Piyush Goyal inspected the railway station being constructed at Kevadia and the railway line being set up to connect Vadodara. On this occasion, he said that high speed shuttle trains would be operated from both the places. He said, "The work of laying railway lines has already started at some places. Work on other parts will start from March ... Once it connects to the main line (Vadodara), tourists from all over the country will be able to visit Kevadia. ''

Piyush Goyal said, "We are planning to implement the 'Hub and Spokes' model (routes leading to the center and its four directions). Tourists coming to Vadodara located on the main highway of the railway will reach Kevadia in very short time by high speed trains on the subway. We will operate the shuttle service throughout the day. ''
