New Delhi: The weather has changed in many states of the country including the Delhi -NCR. Due to the rains with strong winds, people have got relief from the humid heat that has continued for the past several days. Many areas of the national capital Delhi were cloudy since Sunday morning and it is raining with strong winds during the day. Please tell that the Meteorological Department had already predicted rain on 4-5 May.

On 5 May, the Meteorological Department had issued a warning of strong thunderstorms and said that the wind speed can be 50 to 60 kilometers per hour. At the same time, the weather forecasting agency Skymet had also expected rain in the eastern and northern parts of the country during the next 24 hours on Saturday. According to Skymet, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells are expected in Northeast India, West Bengal, eastern parts of Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and North Punjab.

With this, light to moderate rains may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Kerala, coastal and interior Karnataka, Telangana and some areas of Chhattisgarh. Light rain is expected in parts of northwest Rajasthan, Haryana and eastern Uttar Pradesh with dust storm. Whereas in Odisha and Madhya Maharashtra, light rain may occur at some places.
