Guwahati: The ruling BJP had alleged that the Rajiar party distributed cash and liquor to woo voters. Rejecting the allegations, MLA Gogoi claimed that the Raijar Dal was doing value based politics. He said, "Raijar Dal never distributes cash and liquor. I want to assure the people of Assam that Raijar Dal will not do so in future also."

Voting is to be held in five assembly constituencies of the state tomorrow. These constituencies include Mariani, Thaura, Bhanipur, Tamulpur and Gosaigaon. Earlier, hitting out at Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Raijar Dal president and Sivasagar Independent MLA Akhil Gogoi, on Thursday said that if his party's candidate from Thova and Mariani assembly constituencies.

Gogoi appealed to the voters to vote for non-compromising candidates and said he would shake Chief Minister Sarma in the assembly if the strength of his MLAs increased to three. "If our candidates in Mariani and Thova win, we will have three MLAs and among them, I will be one. If that happens, we can shake Himanta Biswa Sarma on the floor of the assembly. This can only be done by us. Only we could have opposed the communal forces. Congress and AIUDF could not do that."
