Mumbai: Amid the split of the Shiv Sena and the change of power in Maharashtra, the heat has now intensified over the civic elections. Amid the call for municipal elections, every political party has started to improve its preparations and tighten the screws of the organization. Amid all this, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has been close to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and BJP leaders.

After Raj Thackeray's meetings with Eknath Shinde and BJP leaders, there was speculation whether his party would contest the civic polls in alliance with the NDA. Now the MNS chief has put an end to all these speculations. Raj Thackeray has announced about the alliance that MNS will go alone in the elections for BMC and other municipal bodies. There will be no alliance with any party. MNS leader Bala Nandgaonkar has informed about this decision of the party.

He has told that along with BMC, a meeting was held regarding the municipal elections of Pune, Nashik, Thane, Palghar and Raigad. He said that we have decided to go alone in the civic polls. Nandgaonkar said that Raj Thackeray believes that in view of the confusion of political parties, the public will give the mandate to MNS.
