Mumbai: Rapper Raja Kumari and singer-songwriter Armaan Malik have been nominated for the upcoming "MTV Europe Music Awards" (EMAs).

At the yearly music gala, Malik and Raja Kumari both received nominations for best Indian performer.
Malik is nominated for his latest English single "You".  This is his second nomination for best Indian performer at the yearly music gala. In the same category in 2020, his debut international single "Control" brought him the "MTV EMA" award. 

The bilingual musician, 27, expressed his "elation" at receiving yet another nomination for the "MTV EMAs." "The previous time, I received the honour for "Control," my debut hit, and it marked a significant turning point in my career. I want to once more inspire pride in my supporters, family, and nation. I wish the other great nominees the utmost best; this is a significant time for all of us "In a statement, Malik said. Popular for songs like "Wajah Tum Ho," "Bol Do Na Zara," and "Butta Bomma," Malik and Ed Sheeran recently worked together on a fresh rendition of the British singer's song "2Step."

Indian American rapper Raja Kumari is nominated for her song "Made in India," which features Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit. Raja Kumari is well known for her work with Divine on "City Streets" and for rapping in "Husn Parcham" from the 2018 movie "Zero." She said she had a great experience working on "Made in India," which holds a particular place in her heart.

On the "MTV EMAs" website, public voting for award categories is currently open. On November 13, the celebration of world artists will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany.
