Jaipur: A case of cheating of youth in the name of marriage has come to light in Bagora police station area of Jalore district of Rajasthan. Here, a young man had married a 23-year-old bride and brought her home after paying a hefty sum of Rs 17 lakh. After 15 days, the bride, who had been given  Rs 17 lakh, ran away from home. The police have now arrested the fellow who got these two married.

According to information, Hari Singh, a resident of Juni Bali under Bagoda police station area, had lodged a complaint that he had married in February 2021. A broker had taken Rs 17 lakh from him in exchange for getting married. After 15 days of the wedding, the bride had gone to Pihar, but after that, she did not return. The information regarding him then found out that she had committed fraud. On the complaint of the youth, a case of cheating and fraudulently extorting money was registered at Bagora police station.

Teams led by SHO Shatru Singh were formed under the direction of Jalore Superintendent of Police Harsh Vardhan Agarwala. The police arrested the main accused, broker Indu Bhai. According to the police, the accused, Indu Bhai alias Anduji, is a driver. At present, the police produced the accused in the court after arresting him, from where the accused has been handed over to police remand by the court, from which the police are being interrogated strictly.
