Jaipur: Congress has expressed its opposition on Saturday, against the conspiracy of killing democracy in Rajasthan by the BJP at the district headquarters of the state. Congress is doing these demonstrations at a time when the political scuffle in the state is at its peak. However, all the MLAs and ministers of the party are staying in a hotel near Jaipur, so these sit-in demonstrations are being led by other leaders.
Demonstrations are staged in Jaipur, along with Jodhpur and Bikaner, other district headquarters by Congress workers. Congress state unit president Govind Singh Dotasara on Friday said that against the conspiracy of killing democracy in Rajasthan by the BJP, at 11 am tomorrow, the protest will be organized by Congress workers at all district headquarters. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has launched a scathing attack on the BJP amidst the continuing political turmoil in Rajasthan. He said that governments are formed by the majority of the people, the governor should call a session of the assembly.
Rahul tweeted using #ArrogantBJP saying, "The country is ruled by the Constitution and the law. Governments are formed and run by the majority of the people. The conspiracy to topple the Rajasthan government is clear. This is an insult to the eight crore people of Rajasthan. The Governor should call a session of the Legislative Assembly so that the truth comes before the country."
