Jaipur: Former Rajasthan minister and Bharat Vahini Party (BVP) founder Ghanshyam Tiwari is back in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday. At the state headquarters of BJP, State President Satish Poonia gave a warm welcome to Tiwari. Poonia said Tiwari had urged the central leadership of the party to return to the BJP, following which he is honourably returning to the BJP.

Tiwari said that the ideology of the BJP was ingrained in him, and even though due to some urgent issues, he split up and formed the Bharat Vahini Party (BVP), but he always remained with the BJP. He said that he never formally joined Congress. He did go on Congress platform once but did not become its primary member.

The veteran leader of Rajasthan and MLA from BJP many times, Ghanshyam Tiwari had no good bond with Vasundhara Raje. He split from the BJP before the 2018 assembly elections. He formed the Bharat Vahini Party which contested 63 seats in the 2018 assembly elections, but all its candidates, including Tiwari, were defeated.
