Jaipur: Samir Wheaton, 50, from Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is a name who proved that age is just a number. Samir, who represented swimming for the country during school, said goodbye to school as well as swimming and became completely serious about his career. But at the age of 48 , Sameer decided to swim again and only in two years, Sameer did what no one else could do till today.

The 50-year-old Samir, who passed out from St. Jeweers School, decided to swim again from 2017. The goal was to cross the English Channel. Samir began to prepare for it, but as soon as he started preparing for it, he dreamed of crossing the seven seas. It was only by crossing the Kathleena channel.

On October 4, 2018, Samir crossed the 38 km-long Kathleena Channel, surpassing the 48 km-long New York Harley Channel on June 1 and clinching another record. Now, in september, Sameer is preparing to cross the 36 km long English Channel. With this, Sameer will become the fourth swimmer in the country and the first in Rajasthan to achieve the Triple Crown.
