New Delhi: Union Animal Husbandry Minister Purushottam Rupala recently issued a statement saying, "Out of the five states affected by the lung disease in the country, Rajasthan is the worst affected and 11 districts of the state are severely affected.'' At the same time, he has also warned not to drink the milk of cows infected with the lumpy disease. Apart from this, he said that such cows should be kept in isolation. In fact, Rupala took stock of the disease-affected areas with a central team here on Saturday. At the same time, Rupala told reporters, "Out of the five states affected by the lung skin disease in the country, Rajasthan is the worst affected where 11 districts are severely affected.''

Apart from this, he said that the Central and State Governments are making serious efforts together to prevent the spread of lumpy skin disease in cattle and will be able to control it soon. At the same time, he termed the efforts being made by the State Government to prevent the disease as satisfactory and assured all possible help from the Centre. In fact, Rupala reviewed the situation of lumpy skin disease in the state and the measures being taken to prevent lumpy skin disease in the state with state government ministers and departmental officials at the government secretariat here on Saturday. At the same time, the Minister said that efforts are being made with full capacity to prevent the spread of this virus-borne disease. Apart from this, he said that the animals that have become active by it, keep separate from the healthy animals and get healthy animals vaccinated.

For this, designated isolation centres should also be set up, so that it helps in preventing infection and it is easier to get medical and care. He said that the 'Got Pox Vaccine' is fully effective to avoid this disease. At the same time, use a dose of three ml in the most affected area and give a dose of one ml to the animals of the less affected area. Apart from this, Rupala also assured to provide priority funds along with ensuring the availability of vaccines and medicines. In fact, he said that the State Government should start using the SDRF with immediate effect and send a proposal from the Central Government at the earliest, wherever permission is required. He said that all the demands of the state will be seriously assessed and helped.
