Rajasthan: Two minor girls burnt alive in Pushkar

Jaipur: Two girls were killed in a tragic accident in Pushkar of Ajmer district of Rajasthan on Wednesday (October 19). In fact, two innocent girls were burnt alive due to a fire in a hut here. Both were just one and three years old. According to the information given by the police, this painful accident took place in the village Chawandia near Pushkar.  

According to the report, Dinesh Nayak, a poor worker, had gone to work as a labourer with his wife. Four children were present in his hut built in the village itself. Meanwhile, suddenly a fire broke out in the hut from the gas stove. Seeing their house burning, Dinesh's two elder children ran out of the hut, but his one-year-old daughter Deepa and 3-year-old Pooja were trapped in it. By the time the villagers reached the spot after receiving information, the fire was brought under control by the time both the girls were burnt alive.

Pushkar police station in-charge Dr Ravish Samariya has informed that the bodies of both girls have been kept in the mortuary of the government hospital. The bodies will be handed over to the family members after post-mortem. Pushkar Tehsildar Sandeep Chaudhary, who reached the spot after receiving the information,  said that the registration of the victim's family has already been done in the Chiranjeevi Scheme run by the state government. Efforts will be made to get compensation to the family.
