Lucknow: Police in the Kanpur Dehat district of Uttar Pradesh have arrested the youths who pelted stones at the police team that went to demolish the illegal possession on the order of the court on Tuesday (October 18, 2022) and sent them to jail. The video of the incident is also going viral on social media two days later. In the video, you can see that the police team is seen fiercely beating these stone-pelters. Journalist Tushar Srivastava posted the video on his Twitter handle.

According to media reports, this case of land dispute is from Pukhrayan town under police station Bhognipur of Kanpur Dehat. On October 18, 2022, stones have been pelted at the police administration who arrived for demolition action on illegal occupation on the order of the court. During this time, a young man was seriously injured along with 2 policemen present on the spot. The police immediately took him to the hospital for treatment and lathi-charged the two accused who were throwing brick stones from the roof.

The land dispute was pending in Satyadev vs Motilal Court in Court Additional Civil Judge (CD) Court No.01, Kanpur Dehat. After a long time, the court ruled in favour of Satyadev and directed the police to take action to demolish the illegal house built above the land and get possession. The police had reached the spot to comply with the court order.  

Satyadev, a resident of Bhognipur in Kanpur Dehat, lodged a complaint with the police, saying that he had reached the spot with the police following the court's order. During this time, Sameer and Karthik climbed on the roof of the house and started throwing brick stones while abusing them. The police registered a case against the duo under IPC 353, 332, 336 and 504 on the basis of Satyadev's complaint. After this, the police arrested both the accused and sent them to jail, after which the demolition action could proceed.
