Udaipur: Neerja Modi School in Udaipur, Rajasthan had sacked teacher Nafisa Attari from her job to celebrate Pakistan's victory over India. Nafisa has now said that others in her family had also supported Pakistan. An FIR under Section 153B of IPC has also been registered against her at Amba Mata police station in Udaipur. Mentions that Nafisa celebrated India's defeat in the T20 World Cup and Pakistan's victory. After which the school fired her.

Nafisa is now saying that some other members of her family were also supporting Pakistan's team in the T20 World Cup match against India. Nafisa said her family was divided into two teams during the India-Pakistan match and both were supporting their respective teams. According to her, her team was supporting Pakistan, so she posted a status on WhatsApp after the victory. She claimed that she does not support the Pakistan team in reality. Nafisa said in her statement, "Our family members were divided into 2 groups and supported their teams. That doesn't mean I support Pak.''

In fact, on October 25, the WhatsApp status of Nafisa Attari, a teacher at Neerja Modi School in Udaipur, spread like fire on social media. In this post, Nafisa Attari shared a picture of Pakistani players, which read, 'Won, we won." Nafisa was heavily criticised for the post.
