Jaipur: Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has become active about the assembly elections to be held in the state next year. She has been holding frequent meetings with BJP leaders loyal to her and has claimed that the BJP will win over 163 of the 200 assembly seats in the elections next year. Due to this, she visited Bikaner and Churu, which was not the programme announced by the party. He visited many temples during this period and described her visit as a personal tour.

A large crowd of supporters gathered at Vasundhara's public meetings in Bikaner and Churu. With her show of strength here, she has sent a message to the top leadership sitting in Delhi that she is standing firmly in the race for the post of Chief Minister. There is a tug of war in the BJP over the claim for the post of CM. Hanuman Beniwal's name is also included in this race. Some time ago, he had said about the CM's candidature, 'There cannot be a procession without a groom. In the BJP, 10-12 grooms are sitting and one robber bride is sitting.'

At present, the state unit of the BJP seems to be divided into several factions and many leaders are eyeing the CM's post. In the last few years, reports of a rift between factions loyal to Raje and supporters of Gujarat BJP unit president Satish Poonia have further exposed the ongoing infighting in the BJP in the state. Vasundhara Raje has not attended many party events since Poonia became the state president in 2019. At the same time, Poonia has expelled Raje supporters like Rohitash Sharma from the party on charges of indiscipline.
