Chennai: A big news has come about Nalini Sriharan, who was found guilty in the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi murder case. According to the information received, Nalini Sriharan has allegedly attempted suicide in the special jail in Vellore on Monday night. Nalini is currently in jail. According to information, she had a fight with another woman. After the quarrel, the said convicted woman had complained about this to the jailor.

The jailor then visited the jail on Monday night for investigation. Nalini allegedly threatened to commit suicide during that time. It is being told that the jail staff also forbid her to do so. While talking about this, Nalini's lawyer P. Pugazhendhi said that it is impossible that Nalini threatens to end her life. She has been in jail for 29 years and till date, she has done nothing like this.

Apart from this, the lawyer also says that 'The jail authorities are trying to hide something in this case. The reasons that are being given about Nalini's attempt to commit suicide are not convincing". In March this year, the Madras High Court rejected the petition for the release of Nalini. Nalini, her husband and her other colleagues assassinated Rajiv Gandhi by suicide bombing during an election meeting in Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu.
