Union Minister Rajnath Singh is set to visit Assam on February 29, where he will address a massive rally in the Barpeta Lok Sabha Constituency, as per a statement by a BJP official. Assam State Bharatiya Janata Party President Bhabesh Kalita announced that preparations are underway to welcome Singh, with plans for a party gathering of workers from the Barpeta Lok Sabha constituency and a meeting of the Lok Sabha Prabandhan Committee on the same day.

Kalita also mentioned the possibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state before the Lok Sabha poll dates are announced. Additionally, he stated that senior leaders such as Union Ministers Amit Shah and Nitin Gadkari will visit various parts of the state in the coming days.

The BJP has divided the state into five clusters encompassing all 14 Lok Sabha seats, with union ministers slated to visit three clusters initially. A national conference of the BJP is scheduled for February 17-18 in New Delhi, with over 300 party workers and leaders, including ministers, MPs, and MLAs, expected to attend.

Regarding preparations for the upcoming general elections, Kalita emphasized that the Assam BJP is fully geared up, having established election management committees at various levels. He highlighted a significant influx of new members into the party, including more than 7,000 Congress members in Majuli and additional joinings expected on February 15. Kalita expressed confidence in the BJP's prospects, stating that there is no opposition in Assam and predicting a landslide victory for the BJP-led NDA, with expectations of winning over 400 seats.
