New Delhi: Rajya Sabha Speaker Venkaiah Naidu instructed Rajya Sabha members to maintain the dignity of the House. After Zero Hour in the Upper House on Friday, Venkaiah Naidu gave special directions to all members on the proceedings of the House. He said, during voting on any bill, no member should meet each other.

He said MPs from both sides should sit in their own seats and do not go to each other to negotiate with each other during voting on any bill. If an MP has to talk about something, he can do it before voting. Addressing all Rajya Sabha MPs, Venkaiah Naidu said if anyone has to talk, he should go to the lobby and do it better.

The Chairman of the Upper House, Venkaiah Naidu, while advising the MPs, said that it is the responsibility of all of us to uphold the dignity of the House. Even during normal business, MPs go to each other's seats and get up and sit back and forth. We should also avoid this, as the entire proceedings of the House are broadcast live. During the voting on the RTI Amendment Bill yesterday, some MPs were seen getting up from their seats and talking to each other.
