According to media reports, after the BJP's decision to field candidates in all three seats in the Rajya Sabha elections, Congress strategists have also been stirred up. Two days Bhupendra Singh Hooda also met Congress National President Sonia Gandhi. Sources reveal that Hooda also proposed to make Deepender Hooda a candidate to keep the party MLAs united in front of the BJP's strategy, but the high command is in favor of making the state president Kumari Sailja the candidate again.

This royal family played important role in Scindia's resignation from Congress

Although the former CM Hooda did not say anything openly on this issue, during the last one week, most of the MLAs of the state Congress have advised him to make only Dependra Hooda a Rajya Sabha candidate. However, the Hooda faction has high hopes from the party's national general secretary and state in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad. On the other hand, the possibility of cross-voting has increased after the BJP's decision to field candidates in all three seats. That is why Congress does not want to take any risk. The party has entrusted the responsibility of keeping the MLAs united to Bhupendra Singh Hooda. The number of MLAs in Haryana is 90. BJP has 40 and Congress has 31 MLAs. The support of 10 JJP and six of the seven Independent MLAs is with the BJP. Independent MLA Balraj Kundu, one INLD MLA Abhay Chautala and one Halopa MLA Gopal Kanda will all be watching the vote.
