Lucknow: Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh was rocked on Tuesday morning when Rakesh Tikait, the main face of the farmers' agitation, sat on a protest in Nagar Kotwali along with his workers. Rakesh Tikait has given this dharna while protesting against the detention of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) workers. Tikait is opposing the police action on BKU workers. It is being told that the police have detained some BKU activists in a case of assault last night.

When the police arrived to nab the BKU activists, Rakesh Tikait protested. He also had an argument with the police. Tikait told the police that these are not boys. But the police did not agree and proceeded to take the youths with them. On this, Tikait said that let them take them to the police. We don't want to interfere in the police proceedings. We're getting there. The police then arrested the youths and took them to the police station.

After this, Rakesh Tikait reached Nagar Kotwali. Hundreds of BKU workers were present with him. All of them first attacked kotwali over the capture of BKU workers and then started a protest there. There was also a mild scuffle between the police and BKU workers during the sit-in demonstration.
