New Delhi: Indian Farmers Union leader Rakesh Tikait has made a big statement on the Centre's Modi government's announcement to withdraw 3 agricultural laws. Tikait has said that the farmers' agitation will not return immediately, we will wait for the day when agricultural laws will be repealed in Parliament. The Government should discuss minimum support price (MSP) as well as other issues of farmers.
In fact, after PM Modi announced the withdrawal of the agricultural law, it was believed that the farmers' movement would end now, but Tikait has made his intentions clear. He has categorically said that the agitation will not end yet. Addressing the nation today, PM Modi said, "Three laws were brought in to improve agriculture. So that the small farmers get more strength. For years, these demands were being demanded by farmers and experts, economists of the country. When these laws were brought in, there was a discussion in Parliament. The farmers, organizations of the country welcomed and supported it. I am very grateful to everybody.''
PM Modi further said, "Friends, our government had brought this law for the welfare of farmers in the interest of the agriculture world of the country, in the interest of the village, the poor with full support, with good intentions. But we could not explain such a sacred thing to some farmers in full of the interest of the farmers. Even though a section of the farmers were opposing it. We tried to negotiate. The matter also went to the Supreme Court. We decided to withdraw the agricultural laws. You return to your home, return to the farm, return to the family, make a new beginning.''
