Ram Temple to be completed by 2023, says Trust

Ayodhya: The construction of Ayodhya's  Ram temple is expected to be completed by December 2023 and Lord Ram is expected to be seated in the sanctum sanctorum by the Makar Sankranti festival in January 2024.  It is informed by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust general secretary Champat Rai Rai.

According to trust executives in charge of building the project, the temple will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 1,800 crore.

After a marathon meeting held on Sunday, the Trust, which was set up by the Supreme Court on instructions for the construction of the temple, approved its rules and manual. The members of the trust unanimously voted to create room in the temple complex for the idols of well-known Hindu seers during the meeting held at the Faizabad Circuit House.


Based on a report submitted by experts, the trust has estimated spending of Rs 1,800 crore for the construction of the Ram temple alone.

The trust's regulations and byelaws were finalised at the meeting, according to Champat Rai, general secretary of the trust, after much thought and input from all parties.  He said that the trust had also made the decision to make space for idols of prominent Hindu seers and the main characters from the Ramayana period in the temple complex, he added.

 

Nripendra Mishra, the chairman of the construction committee, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, the chairman of the trust, Govind Dev Giri, Kameshwar Chaupal, Dr. Anil Mishra, Mahant Dinendra Das, and ex-officio member District Magistrate Nitish Kumar were among those who were physically present, while Keshav Parasharan, Yugpurush Parmanand, and Vimalendra Mohan Pratap Mishra.
