The family doctor was called and during investigation it was found out that he has TB. There was no cure for TB at that time. The doctor advised him to be admitted to TB Sanatorium. His father (Ramanand Sagar) taken to the TB sanatorium in Tangmarg and admitted him there. TB patients used to come alive here, but their corpse used to go out. There was also a couple in that sanatorium. They loved each other very much. One day both got healthy and left. Dad was surprised to see them there. That day, he realized that love can overcome any disease."

He added, "From that day on, he started writing diary daily from the bed of death. Alll these people associated with literature used to read. Dad started writing the column and while reading his column the editor of a newspaper was surprised. He started thinking that a man is dying and he is telling people how to live. 'Ramanand's column touched the editor's heart and he started taking out a column in his newspaper-' Ramanand Sagar from the bed of death '.
