Rampur: A tragic accident has taken place in the Rampur district of UP. Six persons, including the bus driver and the helper, were killed in the accident. 44 people were injured. The injured persons have been admitted to the hospital. Police, who rushed to the spot, have recovered the bodies and started an investigation. According to reports, a major accident took place late at night on the Lucknow-Delhi highway. A double-decker bus and a truck loaded with passengers collided head-on. Six persons, including the bus driver, were killed in the accident, while 44 others were injured. On receiving the information, all the police and administrative officials including the Additional District Magistrate Administration, and Additional Superintendent of Police reached out.
Policemen rushed to evacuate all the persons trapped in the bus. Thereafter, he was admitted to the district hospital by ambulance. The accident took place between 11.30 and 12.00 pm on the Mansoorpur bypass from Kosi bridge under the Civil Lines police station area. The double-decker bus full of passengers was on its way to Delhi from Shahjahanpur. While a truck from the Delhi side was going towards Bareilly.
According to the police, the bus was overtaking when the truck coming in front collided with a dangerous collision. There was a scream on the bus. After the accident, there were lines of vehicles on both sides of the highway. The Civil Lines police reached Tahrir and the rescue of the stranded passengers in the bus began. After some time, the ambulance also came. Additional District Magistrate Administration Lalta Prasad Shakya, Additional Superintendent of Police Dr Sansar Singh, CO City Anuj Kumar Chaudhary, City Magistrate Nirankar Singh and other officials also rushed to the spot and sent 50 injured passengers to the district hospital. The doctors declared Alam (32), a resident of Hapur, the driver of the bus, Karan Rathod (19), Naseem (52), Sakshi (26), Shamim-ul-Haq (32), Abdul Waheed (45), a resident of Jalalnagar Bajaria in Shahjahanpur.
