Patna: Congress, when the veteran leader of Madhya Pradesh Jyotiraditya Scindia is celebrating the pain of joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), at the same time the party's old ally Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has also given a big blow to him. The RJD also got its candidates nominated for two Rajya Sabha seats while the Congress kept reminding it of the promises made during the Lok Sabha elections.

Amarendrahari Singh is a resident of Patna and is a big businessman. He is a Bhumihar by caste and his business is spread in many parts of the country. The RJD had authorized its national president and former CM of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav to select candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections. It is Lalu Prasad Yadav who confirmed the claim of Premchand Gupta and Amarendhari Singh and both filed their nominations on Thursday.
