Today i.e. on 27th May, Ravi Shastri is celebrating his birthday. He was born on 27 May 1962 in Mumbai. His father's name is Ravi Shankar Jayadritha Shastri. Ravi Shastri's father was a doctor. In his house, children were given maximum attention towards studies.

When Ravi Shastri was very young, he used to spend more time playing gilli-danda, marbles and football-hockey. Ravi Shastri enjoyed playing outside with friends more. In his childhood, Ravi Shastri had most of the goods to play and he used to run away from WoW when he was out in any game.

Apart from this, Ravi Shastri used to sit on the back bench in his class. One reason for this was the window near the last bench. From this window, they could see what was going on outside the class and if needed, they could throw chocolate foil or fruit peels out of the window. He used to eat chocolate and other things while sitting in class. When he was in school, he used to take many food items to his friends so that they could share their things with each other. When Ravi Shastri was in 9th, the school's cricket team was formed and his coach Desai sir helped him a lot in learning cricket.
