Prevention of Cervical Cancer and Maternal/Child Healthcare

The government will encourage vaccination of girls aged 9 to 14 years to prevent cervical cancer. Additionally, various schemes related to maternal and child healthcare will be consolidated into a comprehensive program for better implementation. Upgrading anganwadi centers under the "Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0" initiative will focus on improving nutrition delivery and early childhood care.

Enhancing Healthcare Coverage

The scope of the Ayushman Bharat scheme will be expanded to include ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, and helpers, providing them with healthcare coverage.

Recognizing the pivotal role of technology in driving economic growth, the government will establish a corpus of one lakh crore rupees to provide long-term financing for research and innovation, particularly in sunrise sectors. The government plans to increase capital expenditure, with a focus on infrastructure development, including the implementation of three major economic railway corridor programs. Promotion of Green Energy and Electric Vehicles

To achieve its commitment to net-zero emissions by 2070, the government will provide funding for harnessing offshore wind energy and promote coal gasification and liquefaction. Mandating the phased blending of compressed biogas in natural gas and providing financial assistance for biomass aggregation machinery are among other measures planned to promote green energy and electric vehicles.

Taxation and Economic Policies

No changes in tax rates are proposed for direct or indirect taxes. However, certain tax benefits for start-ups and investments by sovereign wealth or pension funds will be extended until March 31, 2025. Additionally, outstanding direct tax demands up to twenty-five thousand rupees for the period up to the financial year 2009-10 and up to ten thousand rupees for financial years 2010-11 to 2014-15 will be withdrawn to benefit approximately a crore taxpayers.

Overall, the government aims to continue its efforts towards achieving the vision of a developed and self-reliant India, focusing on inclusive growth and sustainable development.
