Karimnagar: Finance Minister T Harish Rao felicitated newly appointed BC Commission Chairman Dr Vakulabharanam Krishna Mohan at an event in Huzurabad on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Harish said that he is happy to state that Telangana is the only state which has provided financial assistance to BC communities through free MBC grants irrespective of installments.

He said that Telangana is in the number one position in taking steps for the comprehensive development of the BC communities. He said that the state government headed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has started several schemes for the development of the weaver classes. The CM, who is leading the cause of welfare of all communities, is ruling the state by taking inspiration from Jyotirao Phule, Ambedkar, Periyar Ramaswamy, Narayanguru and other social reformers.

Harish said that Krishna Mohan, who worked for the welfare of BC communities with commitment, was eligible for the post of chairman of the BC commission. Meanwhile, people of Kamalapur and relatives of BJP leader Eatala Rajendra met Harish Rao in Huzurabad on Thursday morning and narrated their problems to the minister. Responding to their problems, Harish then promised to provide all help to the villagers and appealed to the people to elect TRS candidate Gelu Srinivas Yadav.
