Mumbai: Dream City of Maharashtra is selling Remdesivir drug in black. According to information received, a black marketing racket of most needed drug Remdesivir has been busted in India where till now five of them are arrested. The drug is very necessary and is used in the treatment of COVID patients in such crucial time for India such rackets of black marketing are horrible.  

The racket of selling Remdesivir in wrong way has busted in Mumbai’s Goregaon area on Tuesday. Five people were arrested in connection with this black marketing. The Mumbai Police Crime Branch raided a hotel’s kitchen in Motilal Nagar on April 23 and 24 raided. During the search, they recovered 34 vials of Remdesivir. The accused were allegedly selling the drug for Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000 per vial. In a statement police officials quoted the names “The accused have been identified as Sneha Shaha, Shubham Bakshi, Dipak Khadka, Rohit Kamble and Atharv Chintaman.” Earlier this week, 8 persons were arrested in Meerut for black marketing of Remdesivir. Similar incidents have been heard  from various parts of the country. Even fake Remdesivir medicines have been reportedly sold.

Isn’t this a inhuman act while country already suffers a lack of healthcare items? Now, police are taking strict measures to identify the criminals behind such rackets.
