For quite some time now, Renault's 7-seat new car Triber has been in the spotlight. The compact MPV is expected to be launched next month. It's a multi-purpose vehicle, but in terms of price, it will rival compact hatchback cars. The compact hatchback segment is dominated by Maruti's Swift. Swift will also get a hit with The Tribune. Let us compare these two amazing vehicles.

In his statement, Renault said the Triber will be launched in the range between Quid and Duster. It is expected to be priced between Rs 5.30 lakh and Rs 8 lakh. On the other hand, the Swift's Triber will only come in the petrol engine. It is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder engine that produces 72 hp and 96Nm of peak torque. It comes with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic gearbox. Swift comes in both petrol and diesel engines. It is powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 82 hp and 114Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine is 1.3-litre, which produces 74 hp and 190Nm of peak torque. Both the Swift engines are mated to a 5-speed manual and automatic gearbox.

Triber has a length of 3990 mm, width 1739 mm, height 1643 mm and ground clearance 182 mm. The 7-seater variant has a 34-litre trimeer's boot space. The 5-seater variant has a 625-litre boot space, which is more than the cars in the compact SUV segment. As for Swift, its length is 3840 mm, width 1735 mm, height 1530 mm and ground clearance 163 mm. It has a 268-litre boot space. Being a 7-seater, the Triber Maruti Is Bigger in Terms of Size than Swift.

 In Swift you will get features like touchscreen infotainment system with LED projector headlamps, LED DRL, LED taillamp, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, alloy wheels, push button start/start/video. Other features, including Stop, will be available. The popular car for safety features dual airbags, ABS with EBD, high-speed alert system, rear parking sensors and driver and co-driver seat belt warning.

Renault has come up with a host of great features. In this compact MPV, you can use the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with projector headlamps, LED DRLs, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, push button start/start. There are many features like stop, digital instrument cluster, alloy wheels and AC vents for all line seats. The Triber for Safety features 4-airbags, ABS with EBD, high-speed alert system, driver and co-driver seatbelt warning and rear parking sensors.
