Renu Desai has her identification as form wife of power star Pawan Kalyan. The celebrity made her debut in the film industry with Puri Jagannadh’s directorial debut Badri, co-starring powerstar Pawan Kalyan. The actress showed her acting skills only in three films, the first being in Tamil and the second one with Pawan Kalyan in Jhonny. Love bloomed between the duo and after being in a live-in relationship for a few years, they married each other in 2009 but unfortunately separated in 2012.

Currently, Renu Desai is all set to make her directorial debut in Tollywood with a movie based on the obstacles and difficulties faced by the farmers in the country. The shooting for this untitled film was supposed to begin earlier this year but unfortunately, it could not happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic which equally affected every film production in the country. Now that the lockdown norms and rules are on the verge of ease slowly, many filmmakers have resumed work. Renu Desai is no exception as she resumed the pre-production work for her debut movie.

As per the reports, Renu Desai reportedly met with acclaimed Telangana poet and lyricist Goreti Venkanna at his farmhouse to examine the lyrics for her movie. The former wife of Pawan Kalyan reportedly has plans to direct another movie on handloom weavers after she completes this project. The actress turned producer-director spent some quality time in nature’s lap while enjoying some lyrical sessions with Goreti and also enjoyed delicious traditional style meals cooked and served on a banana leaf by the poet's wife.
