Difference in hoisting the flag on both days- On 15 August 1947, our country got independence and then the British flag was hoisted, hoisting the British flag down. At that time the flag was moved from bottom to top and this process is called flag hoisting. For this reason, flag hoisting occurs on 15 August in this manner. Our constitution came into force on 26 January, so on this day, the flag tied above the first one is only hoisted (Flag Unfurling).

Who does the flag hoisting - Although the Prime Minister hoists the flag on August 15, but on January 26, the President hoists the flag. This is because the Prime Minister is the political head of the country, while the President is the constitutional head.
