On Sunday, a full-dress parade rehearsal was performed from Vijay Chowk on the road to Red Fort in New Delhi, ahead of Republic Day. In order to comply with the COVID-19 protocol, the Indian government has only allowed a few tableaux this year.

This year's Republic Day parade included just nine ministries and 12 selected tableaux from states and union territories (including Arunachal Pradesh). Onyok Pertin, Deputy Director of IPR, and HK Roy, APRO, were among those who attended the full-costumed rehearsal on Sunday. They also make frequent visits to 'Rastriya Rangsala' to encourage the participants and to ensure that everyone is in good health.

The DIPR tableaux of Arunachal Pradesh will roll down Rajpath depicting Arunachal's patriotism, bravery, and rich cultural heritage, according to DDIPR Pertin in a media briefing on Tuesday. It is a dream for every Arunachalee to display their own tradition and culture at Rajpath, and this time the Mikong village team from East Siang District got a chance to do so. For the participants who have spent the previous month carefully preparing for the occasion, marching along Rajpath is more than a drill.

They'll have to put up with the severe weather in New Delhi, but it'll be a great chance for them to show the bravery of the Adis of Arunachal Pradesh in the national capital.
