An emergency meeting of Uttarakhand SC-ST Employees Federation took place in Dehradun, in which the government's decision was criticized. Federation's state president Karam Ram alleged that the government has tricked the SC-ST class, in which it will have to pay the price in the future. He took the decision under pressure, while the Supreme Court had clearly stated in the order of February 7, 2020, that the government could have given reservation in promotion at its discretion.

On this basis, the decision to postpone the strike has been taken. If the remaining demands are not implemented within a certain time frame, the association can resume the strike.
