At the same time, there is a problem of water in most rural areas. In these areas people are trying for water drop by drop. At the same time, water theft is also happening in the villages of tribal-dominated Jhabua district. The villagers who are storing water in the village have now installed locks in their drums. Because they have to go about 3 km to bring water.

Actually, people who are bringing water in drums on bullock carts, belong to Jhansar village in Jhabua district. As soon as morning, they start worrying about water for the house. In the morning, the villagers get involved in bringing water. The people of the village go out with some family members to fetch drums and fetch water. After that, they return to the village. The villagers walk 3 kilometers away from the village every day to fetch water. From there, they fill water in plastic drums. Water theft is also taking place in the village amid water crisis. After fetching water, villagers keep it outside the door. But since the incidents of theft, the villagers have locked in plastic drums. Because there is no water on their hard work.

The villagers say that there is a shortage of water in the entire panchayat. So sometimes water is stolen. That is why we keep a lock in the drum. We all bring water from 3 kilometers away. On this subject, Jhabua PHED department official NS Bhide said that there are power and hand pumps. We will make further arrangements under the Water Life Mission. During the summer days the water level goes down, so the villagers face the problem of water. If the hand pumps are not working, we will get them repaired.
