New Delhi: New Zealand got to play a test series of two matches against England. But ahead of the final match of the ICC World Test Championship, Team India has had to play a practice match for the efforts of its players. However, the practice match proved to be a great preparation platform for Indian Team India. While Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill performed brilliantly in the practice match, the bowling saw the edge of the balls of Mohammad Siraj and Ishant Sharma.
Now that the final match between the two teams will be played at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Southampton from June 18, the Indian players will try their best to continue their rhythm. In fact, the match was played between team India players. One team was captained by Virat Kohli while the other team was led by KL Rahul. Though the official scorecard of the match has not been issued, the BCCI has consistently updated the performance of the players. India's young wicketkeeper-batsman and in-form Rishabh Pant hit a smoky century, while Shubman Gill and Ravindra Jadeja scored brilliant half-centuries.
Rishabh Pant scored 121 off just 94 balls in the match. Interestingly, Pant remained unbeaten during this stormy innings. Opener Shubman Gill held one end of the match firmly and scored 85 off 135 balls. Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also scored an unbeaten 54 off 76 balls with his bat.
