Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor's real life story from his Bobby period to now is all set to be adapted into a musical stage drama by none other than Khalid Mohammad.

Khalid confirmed, "I started developing the story into a script and narrated it to Rishi. He kept adding his inputs and soon we had Rishi, a play in two acts, adapted by me from a love story by Rishi Kapoor."

The project gets delayed only due to a want of grand launch and sufficient budget, "I don’t want to disappoint Rishi. I’d rather not make it than do something tacky. We need at least double the budget."

Nishi Doshi as Neetu Singh, Amol Parasher as the young Rishi, Danesh as the secretary Ghanshyam and Amit Phalke as Rishi will be seen playing on stage.
